Hey all,
I heard on the radio that Conviasa is set to start flying to MAD from CCS and PMV(Margarita Island) on January 15th 2006. According to what they said, tickets are already on sale. Can anyone tell me where? Conviasa's website doesn't even talk about MAD.
Also, can anyone tell me which aircraft are they getting to fly that route? With their current fleet of 1 DASH-7 and 1 733, I find it pretty hard to do, unless they add some extra fuel tanks to the 733 .
Again, I take these news with a grain of salt. Anything coming from this Govt. cannot be trusted.
Saludos desde Caracas,
Luis

Most likely the MAD route will be in the form of a 76S

Quoting Viasa (Reply 4): Conviasa get the first longhoul aircraft. It's a former United Airlines Boeing 767-322 (ER) with the registration N650UA (25287/449).
At the moment this aircraft is currently stored at Marana.
I'm not sure but I thinkt that this aircraft is leased from Wilmington Trust.
