Just received results of slot coordination conference for S06 in PRG and most interested info among others was following
DL158/159 02JUN-28OCT 199 763 ATL 0555 0755 ATL JJ
In other words DL applied for slot in PRG in S06, but I hardly believe it will materialize. Does anybody have more info or confirmation of above? Thanks in advance.

I don't know the details of how that works, but with the economic ascendance of Eastern Europe, both the popularity of Prague, as well as the value of OK's onwards connections to places like SOF, have increased. The flight makes sense to me as a supplement to AF services, which are often once/day and don't always coordinate well with arrivals from the US.

Steve,
I m sure above flight would make sense, but there are some other signs, that it will not materialize so soon, like DL is not searching for employees from PRG. BUD service, that was announced earlier, is confirmed by employee oportunities advertised on DL website

no need to. That's what alliances are for....

Delta can have CSA staff in PRG doing handling, checking.... I makes sense since they're flying to a SkyTeam hub and only once a day

Well, I think they will search for station manager or supervisors, don t know what is DL practise, but before they stopped operating PRG, they had some 5 DL employees here, supervising handling process provided by CSA. May be they changed habits to safe some cost recently

Who says they won't be doing that on a later basis? After all, June 06 is still quite a few months away.
Obviously, there are several factors that would make PRG interesting for DL. First there is obviously the CSA hub and the lack of a connection to another US city besides NYC, and secondly that traffic from the newest EU member states is growing pretty good in recent months, in line with addition of service to BUD, KBP and more SVO.
Though the times given appear a bit early, especially a departure at PRG at 0755. Normal would be more around 0955, and also an arrival time of 0555 is very early. Also I doubt DL would be operating such a route for only 4 months.

I for one would like to see the PRG option  Smile It would help on my trips to SOF.

But 0755 depature is definitely rough even for the early departures from the east to connect to it.

Just a moment guys, time in slot application is at GMT, that means arrival at PRG will be 0755 local and departure at 0955 local, which makes it more favourite

I for one would REALLY like to see CSA provide any flights to/from ATL as a DL codeshare. The service and inflight experience would be far superior (I've flown CSA transatlantic twice). However, I'm sure CSA doesn't have the long-haul aircraft to spare....

Finally made it to an airline mecca!

Latest rumors how CSA will solve long haul replacement is that they will take ex KLM 763 in one - one ratio and sell 313 somewhere (if somebody buys it) and then PRG-ATL would become possible, but just rumour unfortunately
