Interesting... Economy looks too spacious to be true. BTW, are these images of the upstairs or downstars (or does it make any difference?)

Charles

P.S. Please, lose the music. It slows my downloads, and it's annoying to boot.

Sorry Chuck. This is an A340-500 not an A350. Sorry about the music too. But it comes as a package. I made it like that.

That's funny. It worked perfectly in the preview screen. Where did my A340-500 go? The HTML is there but no A340-500. Is it loading for you guys?

Oh well,... I tried. Just visit the airbus site if you're still interested.

I took a look at the vitual pics, and they look great. I would love to go on an Air Canada A340-500 someday!

There are actually overhead bins in the centre. Before you accuse me of clairvoyance, look really closely(use the zoom control to zoom in), and you'll see that there are regularly spaced edges just outwards past the centre overhead reading lights, that have to be overhead bin doors and you can actually see the recessed handles of the bin doors. It's just that Airbus put the centre overhead bins pretty high up (bad news for shorter people and kids traveling alone, perhaps).

Okay there, Mr. Clairvoyance!

I looked awfly hard, and didn't see any evidence of overhead bins in the center. Maybe you got the center confused with the sides?

Sorry, FLY777UAL, but I do have a sharp eye for details and can sometimes pick out things a lot of other people fail to see at first. Also, I find it a little strange that a widebody built by Airbus would not have centre overhead bins, especially A340s and A330s. And, no, I didn't get things confused.

Yes they are overhead bins in the centre, just need to look VERY closesly =)

The over head bins do look a bit high, but hey, what are stewardesses for!

I think its beuatiful that the A340 looks like this....
i love it!

Just in case anyone is interested, there is also a virtual look into the cockpit (computer animated) of an A3XX on the Airbus website. It looks pretty cool since it has now eight large display screens.

I think the A340-500/-600 will have larger overhead bins in the center for economy (just more stuff to stow away in coach).

There are overhead bins in the center. They have been lifted a bit to create a more airy atmosphere.

Can anyone point out any distinguishing marks for overhead bins in the center?

I think I might be retarded...

Anyone?

The only line I see in the center is near the aft edge, just before the bulkhead, which allows for the normal movement (bumps and jiggles) while aloft.
