i was searching flight school and came across the american school of aviation


they say they can train someone in 8-10 months for a piloting career, anyone hear of this school? and are their claims realistic? what kind of job could someone expect after pilot school?

Yeah, that's a realistic timeframe to get your Certified Flight Instructor's certificate and then you teach for about 1.5 to 2 years to get the hours necessary for the regionals.

If you're interested in this stuff, the first thing you should do is surf the forum at www.jetcareers.net . It will answer all your questions.

Some of the more popular flight academies are:
ATP (Airline Transport Professsionals)
Langa Air
Pan Am Flight Academy

Those are just a few. Remember, the airlines don't care where you got your certificates, just that you have them.
