I would appreciate a quick reply to my question. If I am connecting at DXB and have just over 3 hours there during the day, would I see much activity? Or is its transit lounge like so many nowadays and all you can see is a wall?

Thanks a lot.

The Dubai Airport is amazing. It is very spacious and you can practically watch all the traffic of the airport from within the airpot as it is a glass structure mostly.

You have alot of restaurants and huge Duty Free and also a hotel.

And recently I saw a booth for Free Internet provided by Samsung

Hey James,
Well I transited thru DXB on my way to and from BNE last month. The terminal itself is fairly nice, there's enough to do I guess. Like said above, there are a range of duty free shops which are really cheap. I'm sure your student self will love that. It works out at £7 for 200 cigs if you want to take any back.

Don't forget to visit the McDonals too, haha.

Good trip.
