I think for the 741 the answer is that three aircraft flew into LHR on 31 October 1999 and that they were the last three BA 741 revenue flights.
The last to arrive was G-AWNO (c/n 20810). It flew BA098 (YYZ-LHR) on 30-31 October. Earlier that morning 'NM had arrived from ORD (BA296) and 'NP from BOS (BA214). This latter aircraft is the only one still flying. It is registered 5N-OOO and is used by Kabo Air for Hadj flights to Mecca from Nigeria and (I believe) remains parked for the rest of the year.

I have now had a look at the 742. Most of the BA fleet was retired at the end of September 2001. But as United-fan indicates one route, LHR-BOM-LHR, continued to see the 742 during the first week of October. That week this route was flown by three aircraft. G-BDXL operated its last flight (BA138, BOM-LHR) on 3 October. This was followed by G-BDXJ on 5 October and the final BA 742 flight (again BA138) on 7 October.

British Airways final 707 flights were actualy flown by British Airtours, and they took place in March 1984 using 2 ex BA 707 336B's.( transferd to British airtours in April 1981 and May 1982.)

Final revenue service for 747-200 BDXC was LHR-MIA? Where did it go from there? Did it operate back to UK empty?? Cant see BA operating an empty flight anywhere, especially MIA, so maybe it carried cargo back?? Thanks for all the info, well done!!!!

Yes, but . . .
G-BDXC was actually operating BA207 LHR-MCO on 28 September but was diverted to MIA because of poor weather in central Florida. Whether or not the diversion to Miami determined that its next flight was a ferry flight (MIA-LHR, BA9183P) departing on 29 September and (I presume) arriving on 30 September I do not know. Anyway it had its titles, tail coat of arms, red fuselage 'Speedwing' and red tail flash painted out on arrival at LHR and was then ferried LHR-MAN (BA9183P) on 3 Oct. It was parked at MAN and then ferried MAN-CWL (BA9174P) on 12 Dec. After being registered to European Skybus while at CWL on 8 March 02 it was broken up at CWL between 15 and 23 July 02.
Another BA 742, G-BDXF, had a similarly peculiar last BA revenue flight. This was LHR-SEA (BA049) on 1 Sep 01. It was then ferried SEA-LGW (BA9150P) on 3 Sep and LGW-CWL on 1 Oct 01. It too was registered to European Skybus while at CWL (23 May 02) but subsequently saw service for European Aviation Air Charter on lease from European Skybus in European's black and blue livery.
