What effect or possible threat will the introduction of Virgin Airlines to Australia bring to Qantas and Ansett ?

Both airlines are busting their guts and providing the same service at a very cheap price, i've never seen so cheap airfares before. When compass was around, ansett cut their fares and apparently they were one week away from bankcruptcy when compass closed.
