JetBlue Construction Plans For TWA JFK Terminal

What exactly will jetBlue be doing with the TWA terminal? I know that theyre not being not being permitted, thankfully, to "throw it down", as they not-so--respectfully like to put it sometimes. But I'm curious - what do the plans entail as far as building around it?

Someone mentioned the main terminal area might be a food court but the tubes connecting to the two gate concourses will be demolished and a new concourse built? It's a shame they couldnt find a way to add to or expand those concourses, but I do understand the need to upgrade and update as well. For it to be a viable facility for JB, its got to be functional, I realize.

JFK would be a thoroughly different place without JB on the scene- it's great to see that an airline has been so successful at building such an extensive domestic network there. WHen JB first started flying, there were many nay-sayers who predicted and hoped for the worst for JB (and still are, sadly).

And with all due respect to Continental, Newark is still in New Jersey any way you look at it - JB is New York's hometown airline. That's why I truly hope they'll do all they can to maintain the dignity of that treasure of a terminal. We lost the IAB and Eastern terminals to big glossy, glassy modern structures (efficient as they are), so any plan that calls for incorporating any part of this historically important piece of JFKs past is good with me.

Several renderings in that thread - the terminal and the tubes will remain, the piers will not.
