Looks like AI will have the deal done soone but does anyone know if AI and Boeing will sign the final firm agreement before the end of the year? It would be great if they did so and Boeing can count the order this year.

The journalism in this article is pretty shabby (saying that they expect all 68 aircraft to be delivered by the end of 2007!!! Well the 787s are going to go into production until 2007 so AI wll be pretty disappointed if they expect them all by the end of that year!!!!

yeah, major typos about the 787. Most likely, the order will be official when President Bush visits India in February.

The February thing could be just a formality. Perhaps it will be filed under Undisclosed until then.

So this is a vote on the deal or is a vote to decide if they should have a vote on the deal?

Yes...I am not a KIX fan. Let's Japanese Aviation!

At the risk of being unable to provide my source, I'll say it anyway. Mr Praful Patel has confirmed Government Guarantee's for the purchase and that it will, indeed, be signed this week or next with Boeing.
