CHICAGO — Boeing's stock price topped $70 a share for the first time in five years Thursday and neared its all-time high, propelled by continuing momentum in both its defense-contracting and commercial-aircraft businesses.

Boeing has now seen its stock nearly triple since early 2003, the year it was supplanted by Airbus as the world's leading airplane maker as measured by deliveries.

Gee, and I sold recently at $69.40. As a friend of mine says, crying over selling too early is better than crying over selling to late.

so its back to what it was in late 2000, United technologies (Pratt, Sikorsky) has almost doubled in that same time while Rolls Royce has done even better!

Another Cramerholic  Wink, I got 69.44 on 11/23, it's been having issues trying to break out over $ 70

I did pretty well when I sold at 64.75, because I bought right after the 9/11 Aviation Stock slide at 29.71. Just wish I had bought more during 1Q 2003 when it was down around 27.00.

But like Coreys quote... Jim Cramer says: "Bulls make money.... Bears make money... Hogs get slaughtered"

throw me into it..though a number of years ago...I got into some heated email "conversations" with him regarding MCIWorldcom.............I felt it was a ticking timebomb and he felt otherwise...

too bad I didn't save them..... Sad

would have been funny to look back at them after 1/2 decade... yes

that being said, the only airline stock I ever owned was WN's......back in the mid 1990's and it made me some beaucoup bucks.....(but what didn't back then)..

I wish I had purchased Boeing and BA stock (kind of funny given that Boeing's ticker is BA)..........both have done very, very well the past few years..

actually.....AA's stock (AMR) has done quite well this year too...the time to purchase was when they announced that they werent' going to go into bankruptcy a few years ago.....

missed the run on all three stocks..... crying   hissyfit
