Why not submit pictures to Johan for publication? It really seems that photos in these threads have gotten a bit out of hand lately.

I was under the impression that what is verboten from this board are posts that talk about the art of aircraft photography and new pictures being put forth for opinion or submission.

This thread is about Continental's paint schemes through the years...are we not allowed to post pictures as illustrations?

BTW, these pics are all from the database; I enjoyed Boeing 727's post of Delta's liveries so much, I decided to go a-searching for Continental's to share with everyone here. What's wrong with that?

I think it is very O.K. that he has used pics in this way. The rule "no photogrophy posts" means people either asking for a picture of a certin object, or like "what film works best for pictures in the sun" or "How well does the Kodak picture CD work?" or "What digital camera is best for taking avaition pics?" and stuff like that...

nice series; obviously you put forth a little more effort than me. I think there is nothing written in the rules displaying a series of old/rare pictures and possibly striking some kind of discussion about it; good job N202PA.

N202PA did a good job describing the contents of his post in the subject line. It is clearly labeled as a "Picture Series". If you have no interest in viewing photos of airliners, then you shouldn't even view this thread.

I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way or not, but I'm beginning to get sick and tired of the people on this forum who think they're Johan. Johan is the only person who can decide whether or not a post is deleted. If someone posts something that you truly believe is irrelevant, click the link below the message labeled "Found a message that doesn't belong in this forum? Let us know!" and let the forum moderator know about it. He will then decide whether or not your judgement is valid. Replying to the thread and crying like a baby does nothing but bring the thread to the top of the messages list.
