That's kind of what I was thinking, but would the plane not wait for him? OR did he blow through a few billion in a few hours?

The Sultan of Brunei has a place out here from what I have heard.

in Vegas

Neither have I, from what I understand the Sultan built this elaborate place and has been here like once, I'll take some of that $ 58 billion of their hands if they need help. Big grin

come on now, we do not know if the sultan or any of the sheikh's were gambling or not. Odds are they are involved in some investment in Las Vegas, and probably wanted to check it out or something like that.

if I sure was a Sultan having a 747-400, Id repaint it into TWA colors, what would AA do if a TWA private 747-400 arrives LAX? Travolta has a Qantas 707, why shouldnt I repaint my private jet in deceased airline colors. hehe

Well, John Travolta has the permission of Quantas to paint his 707 in their colors. TWA is still a trademarked name, and AA probably owns that, so you'd probably have to pay a hefty fee to use their trademark on a 747-400, if they even let you use it.

im assuming this was a silly aside anyway

Investment in Las Vegas (Sin City) by Saudis would be the same as Budweiser opening a brewery in Mecca! Thats what I mean by Hypocracy
