I am amazed at the strength of Amritsar (looks like 8 a week) . I hope they promote the YYZ service and One of my wish lists is YYC/YVR . It used to run with a Monarch 720 in the early days!!

RDWooty,
Bear in mind the propsed new routes to Amritsar are in addition to the 12 x weekly currently operated by Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Slovakian bia their respective home bases and the 3 direct weekly flights flown by Air India. A very strong and lucrative market...
Quoting Hammerb32 (Thread starter): PIA to Islammabad to go 7 x weekly from current 4 x weekly
I would like to see PIA bring the 772 to BHX, how are the loads?
Any more input in Jet services, I heard they wanted to fly the exact same route as AI (without the YYZ addon)? I would like to see them link up Mumbai (BOM) with BHX!
Any more idea on the possible introduction of either Gulf Air (Gulf Traveller), Etihad or Qatar Airways into BHX?
BHX needs another middle eastern carrier, it seems EK is doin very well!

That's interesting, I am due to travel on EK 39 DXB-BHX on 11/08/06 and the schedules are saying its a two class 772. So who's right? Be fanatastic to fly a 773 ER

B742
PIAs loads from BHX are doing very well, it is my understanding though that the A310s will remain in the near future but with more services.
Not sure on the exact numbers of E195s that will be BHX based, they're replacing the 146s so I'm guessing ultimately around 8, will post back if I hear any timescales.
As for EK, it all should be confirmed by the airline very soon.

Thanks Bhxforever. Great to see Britannia Airways/Thomson/Thomsonfly using their B767s from BHX to Egypt. I'm surprised they're using a B767 on the route to Luxor though considering this is the summer season (temperatures easily reach 50°C). I am surprised at the lack of services to TCP and HRG.

Horus,
There were plans for a Taba and Hurghada service but these were dropped recently. I cant remember the reason, but im pretty sure it wasnt because of poor bookings.

Bhxforever, yeah I was sure I had heard about a BHX-TCP route but kind of doubted myself. It would be interesting to hear why HRG/TCP plans were cancelled...

I would say more services to India is when rather than if by either AI or Jet, outside of that I see nothing on the horizon, although another Mid East or North American service is always a possibility.
