At least two museums, one in Santa Monica, the other in Houston Hobby (1940 Air Museum) will have DC3s in attendance today to celebrate the birthday. The Ozark Airlines DC3 will be at Hobby however the weather isn't ideal for photos unfortunately...

My first flying job, way back in january '87,fell in love, ended up freightdogging in the old girl for the next 10 years, a love affair that still continues in the cockpit of an airshow C-47, simply the most ,important, and best, tailwheel, prop, round engine combo in history, Godspeed the DC-3/C-47/R4D/Li-2/Dakota, I wonder how many will still be earning their keep on the 100th anniversary?!
the rumble of round engines is like music to me,likewise the thunder of thr JT8D
