$159.00 one way based on a roundtrip is not a deal. That is about $365.00 with tax... I purchased a one way on Hawaiian Airlines in April from LAX to HNL for $127.00.

Hawaiian is undercutting it. Hawaiian's winter sale fares start at $298 round trip plus tax, which comes out to $149 one way. That fare is available from LAX, SJC, and SFO. Cut another $10 round trip off the pre-tax fare if you have a HawaiianMiles account, and log into that before you try to book online.
Not that the Aloha fare is bad, and if you want to go an outer island they look like they might be better than Hawaiian.

I love to buy on Ryan Intl., their last min deals are the best deals that I have ever seen. Most of the time its cheaper than a non rev pass. Here in DEN you can standby for Mexico flights and get on for under $50.00 RT
ITS GREAT!!!!
