DL 732 Emergency Landing At CVG

Just about an hour and half ago I was sitting on the ramp at CVG by B28. The emergency crews (ARF,APD) were at each end of the runway and at the cross runway 27, so I knew something was up already. I noticed a 737-200 landing on 18L and thought nothing of it until I looked up and it was down the runway a good length and still had not touched down, it flew just about the whole length of 18L and then it began to climb out very slowly. It went around and came back on final, touching down on 18L where it rolled out the length of the runway and stopped without turning off. The emergency crews rolled up to it and a tug was escorted out by the APD. I don't know any details only what I've stated. If anyone has any please share.

The last two DL B732s to land in CVG were DL1211 from BOS at 17:19 EST and DL1099 from MSP at 17:39 EST

At 18:58 EST, DL 1211 is back in the air, continuing on to DFW, so probably nothing serious there. Can' confirm landing position of DL1211 at CVG, but DL1099 was positively 18L.

Glad that it made a safe landing.

I was on DL330 from San Diego at that time and I was wondering what was going on. We were due to land at about 7:20 and just west of STL ATC slowed us and then put us in a hold over Louisville. We were just told that it was for traffic delays, but it ended up delaying our arrival by about 30 minutes.

Check the ATC archives over at liveatc.net, they have tower freqs and apr freqs separate.

Thanks! I did so and found it was DL437 and they were "attempting to get the nosegear down, it's not showing safe". Thanks not just for that but also for the awesome site url.

They took a tug out, huh? That happened to us about a month ago. A 732 landed with a hydraulics problem and was unable to turn the nose gear. We had to take our tug out to the runway and pull him in.
