All Widebody Operators To Get The 787 Or A350?

Another A.netter made me think of this:

Will all airlines who currently operate widebodies eventually order/operate the 787 or the A350?

Or maybe it is better to ask:

What current "widebody-operator" airlines will never order or operate either the 787 or A350?

The EMB290 is on the drawing board which will compete with the A350/787

I had no idea. I suggested that Embraer might build a large transport a couple years ago. Boy did I get laughed at.

Good to know.

Throws a wrench in my questions....but good to know. Wink

Ha, yes I was joking, but my opinion on the topic, yes they all will get the 787 or A350. Not like the current airlines are flying around in 707's.

How about VS? I'm thinking they probably won't.

Im thinking VS will probably fly a mix, might look something like,
747-8, A380, 787-10X or A350-900, etc. Possible keep flying the A346s into the future though.

I do not think that Embraer has considered building larger aircraft, however Bombadier has stated that they plan to make new series to compete with everything from a ERJ190 to A319. Does anyone have any news about this aircraft, I think it was going to be called a C-Series?

It's close to being cut. You wont see a EMB in 300 pax anytime soon.

Now it's still a joke, but give it a thought: this forum in 2020...{looking into the glass bowl}:

A vs. E wars, B vs. E wars, and the question getting most "duhs" from old-school a.nutters is "Did CO, NW, US, UA, AA really operate those horrible, Brazilian, subsidized aircraft in 2005?"
