A while back, Delta announced several new European destinations including expanding their existing service from JFK-NCE to include ATL-NCE.

This flight is to begin May 9, 2006. But I looked in their online schedule and after June 1, 2006 the service is no longer available. Anyone know why they are only running this service for less than a month? Or has their schedule not been updated?

Thanks

It's still there; it just doesn't operate daily. So far the schedule looks like:

May 2006:
DL 142 2000 1110+ 763 Tu We Sa Su

June 2006:
DL 142 2000 1110+ 763 Mo We Fr Su

July 2006:
DL 142 2000 1110+ 763 Mo Tu We Fr Su

Thanks Panamair, silly me, I never considered that DL142 could be non-daily!

I second Nighthawk's question. How are these routes selling? I for one am looking to book on the ATL-NCE flight. It's much more attractive than having to stop in CDG or AMS.

What aircraft is used on the NCE flights? 767/757?

I also am curious as to how these flights are selling.

All delta transatlantic is either 763ER or 772ER. a large majority of it is on the 763ER. Both of these flights will be 763ER as well.

763ER only, to both ATL and JFK.

Will the service be seasonal or year round ? Will they codeshare with AF ?

To any North American carrier, send us a regular flight in MRS !!!!!

ATL-NCE will be seasonal. Yes, AF will also be codesharing on the ATL-NCE flight; they already are on the JFK-NCE.

I don't have any inside info on these though NCE always sells well during the summer, especially up front in J (you will notice that the "I" inventory, which is for discounted Business fares, is pretty much Zeroed out on these NCE flights during the peak summer season). I just hope that the new ATL-NCE helps divert some of the connecting traffic from other cities to ATL instead of JFK, thereby freeing up some more J seats on the JFK-NCE for upgrades!
