Naresh Goyal , CEO of Jet Aw has declared at "La Tribune" (French economic newspaper) , he will order before the summer 2006 40 wide bodies.
10 A350/787 + 10 options and 10 A380/747-8 + 10 options , for 2010 delivery.
In another part of the article , he also says in 2006 , flights to London will be 3 times a day , he will open Paris in 2007 (777-300ER) , continuing to NYC , then he will open China , Kenya , FRA , BRU , ZRH and MIL as well.
Also , as Air India and Indian Al are in discussion to enter Star Alliance , Jet Aw is courtised by Skyteam , Air Sahara could enter Oneworld.
Big growth in sight for Jet aw and for India ........but we already know that !!

They still have 10 options on the A330, what about the 777?

A 2010 delivery could be tricky for the A350, but if they are going to order a very large aircraft, they might aswell go with the A380. Kingfisher opted for the A380. If they think, that they can make it work...

Surely as they have plan to grow up quickly , they will exercise options for A330s and 777s.
I also think they will go A350 and A380.........but all is open.......

Quoting FCKC (Reply 1): No comments or news coming from India ???
IIRC they still have to improve the airports in India. In the long run India will buy a lot of airplanes, I think it is even more important than China, because the Chinese already have a lot of modern aircraft.
