Hi everyone,

I'm using miles to fly from YHZ-BOS and then looking for the cheapest RT fom BOS-TPA. I know CO, DL, UA, AA, US, B6 and AirTran (code?) do but is there anyone else I'm missing that I can check fro a cheap fare?

While it isnt BOS, there is also , PVD and MHT are boston areas, and fly to TPA n/s on SWA. Check them if you are willing to go out there.

Two others are Independence Air and Midwest, but neither is direct. Independence Air will route you through IAD, while Midwest through Milwaukee or Kansas City, so Independence will be shorter and likely cheaper.

Why not use your award to get you all the way to TPA?

It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

For many dates in Jan and Feb, NW is offering BOS-TPA connecting in DTW or MEM for $149 r/t total cost.

I have enough miles for one long haul or two short haul. And leaving the sometimes-better-half behind while I go to the sunny south in January will go over like a lead balloon.......

Try Song. It's by far the best way to travel, unless your in first class, and you'll get to check out the new Boston and Tampa terminals. Have a great trip.

Regarding the PVD/MHT option...I am pretty sure that the Boston subway/lightrail goes out to PVD airport now. And although I'm not sure, I would imagine it must go to BOS as well. They call it the "T" there, FYI.

Just a warning, that is out of the way quite a bit.

I'd take B6, just because your pretty much guaranteed a newer plane with good seat pitch and Direct TV.

Airtran does not do fly nonstop from BOS to TPA. Your best bet is on Song. Three flights a day that tend to be pretty much always on time. 9am,3:30pm,8pm

I'd take Song...earn DL miles, and the inflight service is great...I fly DL Domestic First quite regularly, and honestly, I'd rather take Song than DL domestic F on a flight of this length...service is great, and you can't go wrong with them.

Interestingly FL flies BOS-SRQ n/s instead

My sister lives up in Boston and a couple of times I have flown up to see her I have had to use the subways. The blue line of the subway connects right to the airport as does the silver line which in turn connects to the rest of the system. There are also water shuttles that make stops at the airport.

BOS would be the best option for you as there are more than one carrier on the route and BOS offers more direct flights. Both Song and B6s product is much better than WNs, I never was a fan of waiting in line to get a seat. The prices out of BOS are the same if not cheaper in a lot of cases than PVD or MHT. Add in the fact that there are not flights between either PVD and MHT and YHZ and BOS would be the logical choice for the region as it is for any other travel need.

Definitely take JetBlue. Depending on when you are going, the Song product may be gone... Because it will be phased out of the NE to Florida markets starting this spring and put on long-haul service east-west coast mostly.

Jetblue has a fantastic product, and I suggest it highly.
