I don't know how long it takes for Boeing to build an aircraft. I hope someone can give me an idea. I know Air Canada will receive their first B777-300ER in early 2007 which approx be in March. So my question is when will Boeing start building AC's first aircraft?

Quoting Cruiser (Reply 4): They currently are at four per month. Within the next year, it will go up to five, and there are plans to get it up to seven in the near future after that (cannot remember timeframe!).
Correct. There is an article on the boeing website or the Seattle PI about this.

Quoting BoeingFever777 (Reply 3): Well the first 777-200LR manufacture start date was Sept. 27, 2004 and it rolled out the February 15, 2005. So it looks like it takes around 5-1/2 months to build a 777.
That was also a prototype, Boeing has built quite a few -300ERs so it probably wouldn't take quite as long...
