Hello all

I don't know how long it takes for Boeing to build an aircraft. I hope someone can give me an idea. I know Air Canada will receive their first B777-300ER in early 2007 which approx be in March. So my question is when will Boeing start building AC's first aircraft?

comments are appreciate please

Probably within 6-8 months of the contract being signed in this case Nov. 9, so May or June....

I wonder what the average assembly/build time is for one of those as well. Any info on that?

Well the first 777-200LR manufacture start date was Sept. 27, 2004 and it rolled out the February 15, 2005. So it looks like it takes around 5-1/2 months to build a 777.

What I want to know is how many 777's roll off the assembly line monthly and do you think Boeing will increase production due to all the orders for it lately?

They currently are at four per month. Within the next year, it will go up to five, and there are plans to get it up to seven in the near future after that (cannot remember timeframe!).

Correct. There is an article on the boeing website or the Seattle PI about this.

That was also a prototype, Boeing has built quite a few -300ERs so it probably wouldn't take quite as long...

Thats what I got from the Boeing website. I sure someone from Boeing could answer it 10x better.
