ET has leased in 2 757-231. I don't know who they leased it from but they are not registered yet. They were leased in 1/12/2005. The msn on the aircrafts are 30319 and 28480. This is good news as ET can now free up a couple of 763 for new service or just use these to add frequency on excisting routes.

I doubt any of the 767 will leave ET. Maybee with free 767's we might see ADD-ACC-NYC coming to life.

How are ET doing?

Are their loads to Europe any good?

Any news on their proposed New York service?

Will these two new 757's replace any of the other aircraft, or just additional?

ET is doing good. Last year was a record year for them in number of pax.
Their loads to Europe are very good.
No news on their proposed NY service that I know of.
They have 3 763 on lease. I doubt any of those will leave anytime soon. These 757's are additional I believe.

Do they own the other B763s? Are the ones they own new or old?

Dkny - Any ideas on what this means to their "on again, off again" plans to convert one of the 757's to cargo?

Thanks,
Lotsamiles

While I don't have any direct sources on these aircraft, one other item that ET was actively following was the conversion of two of its existing 752s into freighters, which the CEO has even recently talked about. Also, considering the fact that the airline's summer schedule is still not up and I have also not noticed any schedule changes in the coming weeks, and given that one of the two leased aircraft is already in ET colours, these newly leased aircraft are more likely to replace existing aircraft. So these could replace two of ET's 752 pax aircraft.

Anyhoo, dnky, thanks for digging these out ... and of course, if you could take a pic of the hangar area from the ring road Big grin

They have 3 763's on lease ET-ALC, ET-ALH, ET-ALL
They own 3 brand new 763's with PTV in Biz and Economy ET-ALJ, ET-ALO, ET-ALP
They've leased back a 762 ET-AIF which was originally owned by ET and then sold to boeing when they purchased the new 763's.
They own all 4 pax 752 and one 752 frighter
They just leased 2 pax 752
They own 3 brand new 737-700 and they have 2 leased 737-700
They also own 1 737-200

I haven't heard anything new on this matter.

I never try to take pictures around ADD. I would probably get in trouble for doing that.

True. It would be risky to take pictures from the airport's perimeter. But I was surprised to be given the green light to take pics inside the terminal and out on the apron, which I always asked for before taking a single shot. Same at Bahr Dar and Gondar.

(btw no a.net material, so don't ask for pics)  Wink
