Since Flyi will cease their operation after this Thursday, anyone know who is taking over A terminal at IAD? I'm assuming these gates are only suitable for regional jets, it will be great to see United Express takes over them, because I just can't stand G terminal any longer.

If FlyI owns them, I would think that they will be part of the auction..If MWAA owns them, then I would assume that any interested airlines would take it up with them.

In the short term it should make a good paperweight.

One word would probably some up what "A" terminal will be like after 05Jan06
"Empty", much like what Atlanta's "C" concorse must have looked like after Easterns demise nearly 15 years ago.

It will most likely be full of blue and white RJ's very soon...with big U's on the tails.

from earlier threads, the gates are owned by MWAA, which means that in the short term, they will be deserted, then sold or leased to the highest bidder, or to United, so that Terminal G can be removed as per the IAD Master Plan.
