Hello everyone,
My first post at a.net, but have been following the forums for a while. I just wanted to join on a special date. In Jan.1986 I took my first flight out of Istanbul on a 727 to Paris and after staying the night at the Meridien hotel (included in the ticket price with a dinner voucher!) I took the second leg on a 747 to ANC. Many ANC spotters surely miss those European birds I am sure. Just wanted to share this with you guys, and hoping to put in my two cents on A vs. B, NW DC9's, dirty AF planes in the coming months.
Bon Voyage.

They haven't come into Alaska for years. I think their cargo birds have been going into FAI for the past few years.

However.

I know that my dad had a couple of photos of AF 747's on Anchorage back in the 70's when he worked for the state. Also had a lot of TMA 707's in here back then.

Those where the days.

OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

AF quit using Fairbanks as a stopover point a couple of years ago when they acquired longer-range aircraft.
