Anything Going On At LAX?

noticed they're sending an awful lot of north complex residents to 25R for departure... looked out the window and saw a US Airways, Northwest, America West, and AirTran bird in line for 25R. Anyone that knows LAX knows that is very very rare.

My scanner doesn't reach that far. Do you have a radio scanner? If you don't I'd reccommend buying a cheap $100 one from Radio Shack and programming in all of LAX's 20+ frequencies so you can listed to GND, TWR, Delivery, and Approach for both North and South complex. LAX is actually quite nice to listen to, as their layout is fairly organized from an ATC standpoint.

Are you in El Segundo area?

ya i have a scanner... unfortunately its not handy right now... affirm i'm in el segundo right now.... perhaps they were just getting slammed.
