Orders For The 717/737 Or A32X At Farnborough?

During the last few weeks we have been discussing the possible widebody orders at Farnborough, while never truly mentioning the narrowbody competitors. I assume that 717s and A318s will be ordered at FI but the important question is who will they be ordered by? Also, what lays ahead for the 737NG and A32X families? As we all well know, the 737NG line received an order for 94 73Gs with the possibility of a total order reaching up to 290 airframes. Does anything even closely resembling that lay just a few weeks ahead?

it is really strange this year in the respect that both boeing and airbus have announced major orders BEFORE farnborough, whereas traditionally the airshow itself has been the place to disclose massive orders.

but to answer the question, i suspect Malaysian(MAS) is a potential buyer of a large quantity of A320X's, and MAYBE a batch of A340-500's.

i have a feeling that boeing is going to have its day with 777NG orders=(

I think we may expect a Crossair A32X order. Probably Emirates will be the first real customer for the A3XX, now that Airbus is allowed to offer the aircraft. Maybe Virgin will be the first. I also expect a cargo carrier to sign up then. Maybe Boeing will come out with more 747X info as it seems they are quite busy to get the figures of that airplane right.
I do not see more narrowbody orders in the near future. I cannot think of any other European but Crossair needing airplanes right now. That does not mean I don't hope to see many orders of course.
