If I went to the meet, I would be in the area for the weekend instead of a day. Perhaps one day for spotting and the second day for sightseeing. I would love to see Mt. St. Helens in person. Really it is no point to fly 2500 miles for a day and fly back on the redeye. With being said, Super Bowl Sunday...most people would rather watch the game but an advantage is kickoff isnt til it gets dark so everyone will be gone by 4pm-4:30pm. Instead of having a meet for like 6 hours of just plane spotting, pretty much be pointless for those who are flying cross country. And to end a geat day, a nice place to eat with some beer.

If the Seahawks make it that far, I won't be there, but I would still prefer Sunday for the LH 343 reason also. Saturday at PDX sounds kind of like a day at Sea-Tac.  yawn

Is that the day PDX gets heavies from CI, OZ, SK, BA, NW, BR, KE and UA?

Sounds like a fun meet. I'd probably come if I was a bit closer...

Ok, all. My week long vacation from a.net is over. Thanks again to the wonderful mod who banned me. Great stuff.

Anyway, Thanks for starting the thread for me, Dillan Smile

Saturday the 4th it is! Let's make some final plans!

Who wants to call the port to let them know we'll be there?

I can start taking the lead on planning a place for us to all sit down and eat, etc? I don't have a Portland phone book handy for me to call a few suggested places, so someone in Portland that can help me would be much appreciated!

I think we should plan on meeting at PDX maybe by 10:00 a.m? We could spot for a 2 or 3 hours before we go get some food maybe? What does everyone thing?
