Yep... a lady I know visiting France was in TLS and mentioned she visited the airport and saw a Manchester United A320. This aircraft will be operated by Air Asia as the official Asian Airline of Manchester United. From what I was told it looks great... even if the team suck
I do remember hearing about this a while back so this news is not someones dream or something.

No surprise as I saw a lot of Air Asia adverts at the Old Trafford this year.
Nice to see more planes with football teams colors, as it's for some LTU planes in Germany, even if Man United is not my favourite team...

Go To www.airasia.com On the right of the main page is a rolling announcements board. On there is a link to a Manchester United competition. Click on it a go to the top of the next pop up box to see an artisit impression of the aircraft. ( The competition is to name the 4 players heads on the fuselage)
Tomorrows task is to go and see the Head of PR at work ( Manchester Airport) to see if we can pursuade Airbus and MUFC to get the plane into MAN before it goes to Malaysia!)

I'm sure EK will have an Arsenal livery next year as they are placing their name on the new ground at Ashbourton Grove. The Gunners cannon on a 773 or 346 would like nice!!!! But I'm a Gunners fan so I would love to see it. I'm surprised Abramov hasn't had his private 763 redesigned to have at least a Chelsea logo, painting costs alot.

Its odd to think that Malaysia has one of the largest Man Utd fan clubs in the world. They even have Official Man United Sports Bars in KL last time I was there - with matches beamed live at ungodly hours (due to the time difference).
It was probably one of the best adverts for AirAsia last year when Man U toured SEAsia and stepped off an MAS 777 wearing AirAsia jerseys. It caused a great stir at MAS who had flown them all the way over only to see fans go wild as AirAsia took the spotlight (rather than MAS).
