I have been asking all around work trying to find out when the first 763 will arrive with the new J seats. No one seems to know. Most people dont even know they are comming and when I tell them they say. "Great there goes my profit sharing again...."

Welcome to Airliners.net!

I see you are a CSM in the big "D".

From what I got the last time it was brought up, they said the first 763 will be fitted sometime around late winter/early spring. And that one 763 will fly around for a couple of months to see how it works, and fine tune any flaws before converting the rest of the fleet.

Very exciting news it is! And about time too!

Are the current J seats on the 763's equivilent to the J seats on the 777's?

The J seats on the 777's need to be changed too, they are outdated, uncomfortable (especially on long flights like JFK-NRT) and worn-out.

The 767 and 777 J seats are only a little different from each other.

Eventually both airplanes will get the new seats. From what I have heard they will both be lie flat and be state of the art...It is about time. Our current J class seats are non competitive.....basically they suck
