Apparently Indian airlines is getting/has got a new livery.

I haven't been able to find any photos.

Does anybody know what they are?

(none of the usual A.net sarcasm please)

Thanks

don't know how much impact does livery have on airline's fortunes, but I feel postive about them. Something in me says that they are going to be more credible than AI in years to come.

What? Come on...

Exactly! Without a second look at it, I give it a good thumb up! Its warm and sunny, not that faded and outdated rigid boring eurowhite/gray look from another time... Keep that way IC!

Cheers

they've recently leased 3 of them. Besides these, A319 form major portion of 43 Airbus they've ordered.

Are we sure these new cs are these of Indian and not these of Alliance Air ?

The three leased A319s recently delivered are officially quoted as leased to Alliance Air , NOT Indian !!!I know they wear Indian titles , and not Alliance Air titles............
Would be great to get a real confirmation of this matter.

Quoting FCKC (Reply 8):

you're right that these A319 are leased to Alliance air, but the livery change and the rebranding will eventually apply to whole of IC's fleet that includes 43 new a/c ordered by IC. As far as Alliance Air is concerned, their B732s shall be converted to freighters and it itself might be dissolved.

All because of a political agenda by the Congress President - who is targeting an individual who prints the in-flight magazine for Alliance. It might seem quite wild, but in the corridors of power that is the explanation you get.

What has 'madam' got against the publisher of Darpan?

Actually, I think this new one is ghastly.

Not that the old one was anything wonderful, but I think it was much better. And a little ahead of its time.

I have seen the new colors real close. I flew in the new A319 on BOM-BLR sector on Dec 27th. The colors are an improvement over the old one. Having said that, I had nothing against the old colors.

Besides the change in livery, IC needs a change in the attitude of it's staff specially the commercial staff. The FAs need to lose a lot of excess weight. I have nothing against old FAs. There should however be a regular medical fitness checks.

Cool, another nice livery in India. Everything is good except the size or typefont of "indian". Also, the new dress will look better from the side than the above pic shows. I wish airlines in Canada/USA/LatAmerica had new schemes as good as these instead of those ugly eurowhites with blue tails.

Surprised they designed this pattern though, IndiGo and SpiceJet are already similar.

I agree... Some Indian lettering would be a nice . As it gives a nice cultural touch!
I really like the foreign language lettering on foreign airlines...
My favorites are: Armenian and Indian!
