Hi everyone,
read this unusual article in sifynews.
Family of 5 - husband, wife, child & husbands parents traveling on EK COK-DXB-USA. Wife unhappy that in-laws coming with them to US & kicks up a fuss. Husband pacifies her at checkin & they all board. Once the aircraft starts taxing, wife starts nagging again & the aircraft goes back to the stand & the family deboard. The flight leaves 1 hr late.
If I were one of the co-passengers, I would be pissed off for this delay. The family could have sorted the parents-in-law coming to US issue much before this.
Also I feel sorry for the poor chap. It must be hell for him. & of course the in-laws. I am sure its not a nice feeling to feel unloved & unwanted.
This is the link to the full article.

However, the Emirates authorities did not allow the family to leave the airport until the flight reached its destination at Dubai, airport sources said.
Does that mean they did not unload their baggage? Or was that just a security precaution? Can you imagine the poor security guys who had to keep an eye on them....probably had to hear the family fight for a good three hours while the flight got to Dubai. Funny story!

I think everyone on board should have played that scene from the movie
"Airplane" and taken turns beating her up.

I think at the very least, as a penalty, the remaining value of their tickets should be forfeited to the airline to make up for the expense this family caused.
