I was a bit curious since I have non-reved on AA and NW as OAL trips with a kind upgrade, but I just recently found a good deal on a confirmed ticket on AA and I am still an airline employee, I wonder if AA would allow me an upgrade on my own paid ticket with my airline ID? or they only are nice to the non-rev version?

They very well may do it. BA did it for me a few years ago on an ATL-LGW flight. It's worth a shot.

As stated in previous threads, at AA, they are prolly gonna give upgrades to Exec Plat, Plat, and Gold members, but it's definitely worth a shot. Where are you flying to?

I miss the old Anet.

For a shorter route it may be worth the shot. Not this route
