Emirates And Its Investment In SriLankan

Emirates has had its hands and feet in SriLankan Airlines for quite a while now, after having taken up 40% ownership of the airline's shares. While SriLankan has been completely overhauled with a new image and some expansion, what else has come out of this and why did Emirates, an airline which does not appear to be keen on forging alliance with others, decide to take a stake in SriLankan?
