Cost Of Flights In LHR Vs SYD - Why The Diff

Hey all

was surfing the net and for a BA club world ticket from LHR to SYD it cost about £3200 give or take (thats about A$8000)

Why then, is the same ticket originating in Syd on the same date, A$10,900?

ANd i noticed the same sorts of differences on SQ?

Can anyone explain? thanks!
