DXB/SHJ To DOH, BAH And KWI

I might have to visit Doha, Bahrain and Kuwait later this year on a day-trip from Dubai or Sharjah.

Annoyingly, G9 only operates an unhelpful once-daily frequency to all three Gulf cities from its Sharjah base.

Jazeera operates a daily service to Kuwait from Dubai, but I wouldn't be able to fly it one-way and G9 the other.

So, I might have to pay the absurd return fares with the nationals - like £200 return to both DOH and BAH, even though it's 1 hour and 1.25 hours respectively - and about £400 return to KWI - even though it's about 1.75 hours. How absurd?????! Can anyone knock off a huge amount from these quoted fares?

I guess it might be easier and cheaper just to stay overnight in each place.

Hi James, I was thinking of doing exactly the same thing like yourself. But after enquiring around, come to know it was working out expensive for such short flights between BAH.DOH,AUH, DXB and MCT. So, now I've decided to stick with BAH only.

But as you mention, it would be much cheaper if you stayed a night in each place, rather than returning on the same day. I know Emirates do an Arabian AirPass, which is some sort of travel voucher for short trips between the GCC countries.

Don't you have to fly with EK from Europe though?

Taken from Emirates site:

"The Arabian Airpass from Emirates is the perfect and affordable way to explore the Middle East in any class of travel. Whether you are on a business trip or a holiday, with our Arabian Airpass you can extend your journey from Dubai to over 12 cities in the region - Doha, Muscat, Bahrain, Kuwait, Dammam, Riyadh, Sana’a, Alexandria, Amman, Beirut, Cairo, Damascus or Tehran - at a nominal extra cost with Emirates."

Flights originate from Dubai.

I thought the main idea behind both G9 and J9 is prices priced as one-ways. I know J9 does that; with 3 weeks advance purchase (and available seats for the fare code) means $33 one-way. Combine that with G9's one-way (not sure how much) and you may come out with a betetr savings than flying the flag-carriers.

Yes, you do.

• Arabian Airpass can be purchased worldwide but travel has to commence outside the Gulf and Middle East countries.

• Arabian Airpass is valid for travel only in conjunction with international tickets issued on Emirates document and travelling on Emirates flights originating outside the Gulf and Middle East.
