I was wondering what it takes to become a commercial pilot nowadays . What is the pay? I have always loved aviation and I want to pursue a career . Can anyone give me some helping info?

Don't you worry about the pay, start thinking about the vast amount of material you need to study in a very short period, the loan you need to get (unless you are VERY wealthy) and the life you will live (a lot from home...)
Pay comes later buddy (No pilot only flies flies for the good pay, we fly because we love our job)

No offense Tino...but some NWA and AA pilots seemed to be more interested in pay than flying when they both when on strike a few years ago!
