Both Carolina and Pittsburgh use US Airways for charters, and while the Steelers request an A321, the Panthers usually go with the 757. Two years ago for the Super Bowl, they used a 767 for the team/staff and a 757 for families and other guests. Before that, they used a 757 all season if I'm not mistaken, so I'd imagine the same will be used this coming week.
I doubt U.S. has an A330 to spare for football charters, and I wouldn't think the Panthers would be willing to spend the money for one unless they really needed the capacity. It'd be cool to see one at BFI though, I doubt an A330 has landed there before...

US Airways A321, CLT-BFI, flight took off this morning.
Go Panthers! (since my Pats are already out, and Matt Hasselbeck went Xaverian Brothers High School of Westwood, Ma., which happens to be my alma mater's archrival, so on that principle alone I can't root for Seattle).

It was Flight 9094 a 321 for US Airways. Check out the thread Carolina Panthers to Seattle, posted on Friday morning, has the link to the Charlotte newspaper article that describes what was planned for the flight.

I could not find ANY flight tracking info on USA9094 on about 10 different websites (tracking info is showing last weeks CLT-ORD info), but from the article AirCop mentioned, an A321 was used on this flight. If anyone can find the info, I'd really appreciate it. (Not that I don't believe you, Gunsontheroof, I just couldn't verify it. I've also driven south down I-5 past BFI going 65mph trying not to swerve off the road to see what aircraft were hanging out there - not the easiest thing to do!)
PS - Here's the Steelers charter info:
Airline Us Airways
Flight Number 9098
Departure City (Airport) Pittsburgh, PA (PIT)
Departure Time 01/21/2006 02:07 PM
Arrival City (Airport) Denver, CO (DEN)
Arrival Time 01/21/2006 03:27 PM
Remaining Flight Time 00:00
Aircraft Type Boeing 757-200
Since both teams chartered single aisle jets, my prediction: Panthers over Seahawks, Steelers over Broncos.
