Does anyone have a list of the top 100 airports in the world, by passenger numbers, for 2004 or 2005? I believe Airports Council International publishes such a ranking, but I’ve only been able to find the top 30 airports.

Thanks!

Thanks RAFVC10! Those numbers help.

Unfortunately, however, I should have been more specific--does anyone have the actual passenger numbers that correspond with these rankings? Thanks again.

I had a sheet with the numbers, but threw it out last month. Anyone that subscribes to AWST's Aviation Daily will find it in one of the PDFs last month.

Intresting list, is this by passenger #'s as O&D or total passengers including transfers?

I'm sorry to ask again, but I've searched far and wide and I can't come up with the passenger numbers for the top 100 airports. Has anyone come across such a listing lately?

I see there have been automatically changed some datas like:

SINGAPORE, SG SAT Macedonian Airlines (Greece)">IN 30.353.565

It's nonsense, of cours it is Singapore-Airport in Indonesia (SIN), not in Greece!

How about BOG? 2004 at 7.786.356 and expected at over 8.500.000 with a 10% growth for the year if it continued the Jan-Nov 2005 trend. I have not really seen the Dec 2005 figures though but if the airport was any indication, it was better than expected.

@ Bogota and all

The passenger figures (and rankings) 2004 above are listed from ACI. Airports which are not members are not listed. For examble BOG or also THR and NGO.

Bogota, where have you gotten the BOG-figures? Have you a Website, where I can collect the datas?

I agree.
The first long list shows AYT Antalya, Turkey @13.7million pax.
If that is true, it is a big shocker! More pax than ATH, STL, SVO, TXL, SJC, AKL, HEL, LIS, SJU, CUN, PRG, CAI, TLV, BUD ??? Really?
I still think of AYT is a touristy town of 1.7 mil. mostly a summer destination.
And the official site shows the capacity at 9mil. pax.

Yes, it's true TK787! AYT is the main Airport for the turkish coast. It's for turkey a little bit what PMI is for spain.

This year (2005) AYT have had follow monthly passenger traffic:

Jan. 430.561
Feb. 433.030
Mar. 677.497
Apr. 926.761
May 1.750.292
Jun. 1.889.866
Jul. 2.424.876
Aug. 2.441.631
Sep. 2.002.748
Oct. 1.915.515
Jan.-Oct. 14.892.777 / +17,9%

Thanks, I guess I had no idea. I haven't been there for 13 years or so, but AYT reminded me of LAX, CPT. Maybe it is time to check it out again.

Helsinki (HEL) is also missing from the preliminary 2005 figures. They had 11,130,589 passengers in 2005 which is more than ever in the history of the airport. The pax numbers increased 3,7% if compared to year 2004. However, please note that transit passengers aren't included in these numbers.

Oh yes, the transit passangers are not included, of course. Would be interested to know those figures too, the transit traffic (to/from Asia) at HEL is growing all the time.
