What routes are most likely to be flown this this aircraft? I would assume thier Caribbean or African routes...i didnt think that AF had high enough demand on their routes for an A380...how many did they get? Will the A380 fly out of both ORY and CDG? Are those airports "ready" for them?

thanks

On a side note, wasn't there talk last fall that AF wanted to defer its early deliveries of the A380...?

AF has firm orders for 10 A388s. One route I've seen discussed which seemed somewhat atypical was CDG-YUL.

Terminal E at CDG was designed to handle the A380, but the fatal accident slowed its opening.

Fortunately the A380 is late too...!

No, they will not be flown to Africa and the Caribbean. They will be flown from Paris to high-density, high-yield destinations. Think Tokyo, Miami, New York City, Los Angeles, and Montreal.

Eastern Asia and North America will be the destinations at first for the AF A380s...
Talk about a "Long" delivery flight ("ALL" the way from TLS to Paris...)

They did, because of the 6 months delay they would be getting them in the low-season, so they deferred the delivery another 6 months (so a year from it's original delivery date)

are any of these high-density, high-yield destinations ready for an A380? Remote parking for regular passenger service doesn't seem glamorous for the A380
