I dont know if this is true, but I just heard from someone that the FAA just made these rules, which will affect all Airports with Airlines:
You have to be 18 or have an Airline Ticket to go through the Security Checkpoint. Exception: Being with an 18 year old or older with Valid ID.
This is because some people "Disturb" the Gate Agents. Anymore info would be appreciated. This will ruin it for all of us in the US Airports.

I agree, and really hope that they don't do that. I see very little reason. It would be terrible!

That's weird...the only people I've seen "disturbing" the gate agents are those OVER 18...

Yep. Today I was at COS picking someone up and at the beginning of the security check-in there was sign that said "Due to high volume, passengers only beyond this point". I was like whatever, so I went through and they really didn't give a sh*t, so it's really not that big a deal.
