Greetings,

Both Flightaware and the UA website are showing that uniTED flight 1551 from ORD to LAS is being serviced by a 757 today, Jan 27th.

Was there a problem with the A320, or is UA getting smart and putting larger airplanes back on this route??

Why the 757??

Probably a sub today for the flight. Not a big deal.

Aren't all UA flights (with the exception of express) operated by Ted? That would mean that it should be an A320 with all economy. It must be pretty nice to see a substitution to a 757 because suddenly there are those nice 24 first class seats up front.

If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

It was an euipment sub for the 320. Must be a/c availability as the load on the way out was 5/148. 3 short of a full ted config. bus.

There barely isn't a day that goes by at LAS that UAL mainline isn't subbing a TED flight. You can see anything from a 733/A319 all the way up to 777 or Jumbo! Just a few weeks ago, a 777 did an SFO flight.

I meant to Las Vegas. What destinations other than the Express ones are served by mainline?
