looks like CSA are dropping the BHX - PRG daily service as of 26mar06. flights are no longer bookable on OK website and any res system.

Oh well another one bites the dust for BHX!

At a time when the UK-East European market is expanding...

Well it seems BHX has been having a rough time recently. Plymspotter will be pleased.

BHX is certainly having its fair share of bad luck over recent months!

Presumably WW is eating up all the business from BHX to PRG? A shame, as PRG is a handy hub for connecting flights to Eastern European destinations.

It reflects the airports policies.
A Not interested in LCC demise of Mytravelite/Move to COV for lots of Thomson flights/
B Interest in the Asia market and allowing airlines to flood the market in that area.
C Inability to deal with the bad baggage delays on arrival
D Lack of push for the extension of the runway
E Terminal 2 not having the same facilities as Terminal 1 so making the clients second class citizens. it was built especially for BA as a hub and spoke but we will lose BA so the other airlines passengers have very limited services there and it needs a refurb

T2 is currently being refurbished, once complete it will be similar to T1. they are expanding check in etc etc. the departure lounge is also getting a face lift. went from T2 a few weeks ago and was a nightmare, building work all over the place. should be nice when completed. I do hope they get rid of all the grey & blue BA look!

I found OK660/1 daily ex Sa for whole S06 period in Czech Airlines timetable section, and also not heard any rumors from OK insiders about axing BHX.
EmiratesUK try to make another search.

Haven't OK been axing a lot of routes at the moment? On January 6th (the day I flew GYD>LHR>ABZ), was the last day OK were operating the PRG > GYD route. Apparently it wasn't profitable enough.

CSA is having a tough time int he UK. Yields have fallen since every airport now has a PRG service. GLA was dropped and I am pretty certain that BHX was next. MAN gets a cut in service this summer, I believe.

Hi guys !!
Ok, my contact at CSA has said that they dont know themselves yet wether BHX will def be dropped.
They are waiting for PRG to get back to them and confirm wether its Yay or Nay...
Hopefully it wont be the case.

Well, If CSA go I wonder what the outlook for BHX is going to be regards other european carriers... even AZ has gone.

J
