Swissair Economy Plus Questions (Teahan)

The last time i flew swissair from Atlanta to Zurich i noticed that the first four rows of coach have about 36 inches seat pitch. The other rows have less room. You cant reserve the seats when you are not a Travel Club member or a full fare payer. Is this some kind of Economy plus? They have never advertised this service.
Maybe Teahan knows more?

It was an Md-11 (HB-IWS) and the first rows of coach right after the business class cabin.

It is right before this wall Those three or four rows have double legromm compared to the others. Is this just coincidence?

Swissair does NOT have a special economy plus. The legroom before the walls is bigger because you can not put your feet under seat in front of you.

Pssst.....British Airways is launching it's WORLD TRAVELLER PLUS officially at the end of this year. On the 747-400 there will be a separate cabin of 5 rows 2x4x2 with 7" more leg room than World Traveller. Get ready for the new 4 class British Airways!

Cheers

Yes, ZRH is right. You have more room because of the special seats they have to use in there. That is another little specialty of the ex-LTU MD11 they have, besides the different first class and the center cargo hold door.
