I might be doing this trip and was wondering if any LCC's fly this route. KL is around $200, which isn't bad (IMO) so a connecting flight would have to be substantially cheaper. Also, is a train a good option?

Thanks in advance.

SkyEurope offers good fares I believe. Don't know about Malev but I know that they fly between AMS and PRG.

EDIT: about the train... Are you an aviation enthousiast or what Smile!? No way you're going to do that route by train!  Smile !! You're going to fly!! Train is to expensive, costs to much time etc.

Malev and Skyeurope dont fly direct flights between PRG and AMS. Only KLM and CSA Czech Airlines do.

From spring or summer, Smartwings, Czech LCC will restard their flights to AMS from PRG.

Try Http://www.csa.cz or Http://www.smartwings.net

Next Flight: Dec 06 PRG-WAW ATR72, Dec 07 WAW-PRG ATR42 with Czech Airlines.

Fly OK if you can...especially if you can for $200 r/t. That's not a bad price at all and OK's a nice airline.

That would be AMS-BTS on SkyEurope. Then he could hop on a train in BTS and get to PRG for about $20.

BTW the rumor is that SkyEurope will open a base in PRG.

Take CSA or SkyEurope. Keep in mind that BTS-PRG by train is another 4+ hours.

If they are still around. Hate to say it, but they should just quit this joke of a LCC and stop making a bad name for Czech aviation. They should go back to charters, that's what they were quite good at.

I hope this rumor will materialize...

2 daily slots means 1 daily flight, doesn't it? 1 for arrival and 1 for departure?
