Hi everyone!
This is the starter thread for the ZRH - SUMMER Meet 2006!!!!
The planned date will be: July 29th, 2006. (AFTER THE FOOTBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!)
This time, I would like to offer you guys the following:
(Rough plan):
Meet from 9.30am on till 10.30am, in front of the "Visitors Terrace" at Check-in 2.
Visit of the "Terraces B, + E" and a special bus tour to the touch down zone of RWY 14 and to the runway crossings of the RWY's 16/34 - 10/28.
>>After that, we have a lunch brake at "Terrace B", before we go at 3.30pm to check-in for the booked AIRLINERS.NET flight over the "Swiss Alps" with an SWISS AVRO RJ100.(Flight time will be one hour)<<
After the ALPS sightseeing flight, we can finish the day at the amazing RWY 34 restaurant.
Prices will be for the whole package (Terraces, bus tour and flight):
Seats A = CHF 160,-- (€103,-) 20 Seats
Seats B = CHF 150,-- (€ 97,--) 20 Seats
Seats D = CHF 140,-- (€ 90,--) 19 Seats
Seats E = CHF 150,-- (€ 97,--) 19 Seats
Seats F = CHF 160,-- (€103,--) 19 Seats (TOTAL 97 seats available)
ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please note, that this is only an INFORMATION thread!!!!
DON'T BOOK ANY FLIGTH INTO ZURICH YET!!!! The plan can only materialize, if at least 95 people sign up for sure!!!!!!! (Even guests of A.Netters are welcome!!)
Even the flight time could be changed, due of slots restrictions in ZRH.
>>>More information will be given, once we know, how many people would be interested in this proposal.<<<
Please add to the list below, your user name and your choosen seat for the ALPS round trip with the LX AVRO RJ100.
Take into consideration, that here is a lot of money involved! Therefore, you should be really sure, if you would like to attend this event and if you are able to afford it. (You got almost six full month to save a bit money for that event! )
If you have questions, contact me, or David (V1VrV2)
Would be lovely to get a lot of you to ZRH on July 29th!!!
Regards,
Patrick

By the way:
Quoting Glidepath73 (Thread starter): to check-in for the booked AIRLINERS.NET flight over the "Swiss Alps" with an SWISS AVRO RJ100.
Make sure that it is a full catering flight (incl. free beer and booze), then DTManiac and myself can book a seat together to have a 1 hour drinking session in the air.
Quoting Pilot kaz (Reply 3): The MAN meet is being run in the same month..

Unfortunately it will be one of the modern no frills flights... But I think for one hour, you will survive without a beer, and rather enjoy the breathtaking view of the SWISS ALPS!!!

Since we are a really big group which will have to fill the plane (97 pax),
the tour for the terraces an bus will be already two buses. I don't wanna let grow the amount of people to more than that.
Therefore and to handle the whole thing more easy, I'll offer only the whole package. Please understand that.
The prices are calculated so tide to make it as cheap as possible for you guys, I can't accept any changes. The whole project is really big this time. I hope that's somehow understandable.

That would definitely be the best. I am interested though, even if theres no booze on the plane.

Ok, fair enough. If however the flight doesn't fill up, will we do 'just the tour' again? (allthough just that it's great!)

Wow! Patrick! It looks like everytime you plan the new ZRH meet, it has to be bigger and more spectacular than the previous time! (This is a rumor only, but Patrick has told me in private that in 2007 for the summer meet he's going to have Concorde flying again, for a 20-hour round-the-world flight out of ZRH, with free booze and one FA per passenger)
Well Patrick, what can I say, first of course I'm going to book myself onto your flight:
Patrick, if you have trouble to fill the seats, you should kindly ask Sven or Sebastian at Airevents.de to list your flight on their site for a couple of weeks. If you still have trouble, book a 3-line classified ad in any ZRH newspaper, and you'll have about 500 rich Swiss people willing to pay ANY price.
One last thought: Who else agrees that the RJ is the perfect plane for a sightseeing flight, with the wings above the windows and not below?
Here's an RJ seat map for you:
When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead! True story.
