WN traffic was up 19% on a 10% capacity increase. Load factor increased 5 percentage points to 64%. With everyone else running load factors much higher and the domestic capacity reductions it seems that WN is well positioned to pick up much of the additional demand. WN revenue should see some very nice gains this quarter and this year if current capacity trends hold for the rest of the industry.

Thanks to Denver.

From trip reports it does sound as though the DEN flights are running very full. I don't know if you can apply a couple of trip reports to all WN DEN flights. But if you can, there is no doubt that is having an upward impact on load factor.

No matter how full the DEN flights are, there just aren't enough flights there to impact the LF more than a few tenths of a % or so.

Good to see WN doing well, hope earnings keep going up  Smile

Yep, when you're talking averages with that many flights systemwide, DEN is like putting 1 cent of gas into your gas tank.

You're soooo WAY off. More like 2 cents.

True, the impact may not be significant yet, but with a new station the most important factor is direction. The direction of load factors is positive and the magnitude of the impact will come later as the station grows.

Does anyone know if DEN-MCI or STL is in the cards?
They just leased a 3rd gate here, and even with the new BWI and SLC flights, they would still have plenty of room for more flights.

I sure hope they are in the cards. For those of us in DAL, MCI and STL would make for a nice connection point to DEN. At least until we can get Wright restrictions removed from DAL for Colorado and then fly direct to DEN.

Seems like it's possible to me..

I'm glad to see the LF's are up even though capacity is up 10%. Good news.

Next fights: WN DSM-LAS-PHX, US PHX-SJD. Return: US SJD-PHX, WN PHX-MDW-DSM

interesting.....I wonder if they will start DEN-SJC service and start going up against F9.........that would be an interesting battle, as WN is only 2nd (or might be first, can't remember) to AA +AA-eagle out of SJC.......

that being said, F9 is good enough of a carrier to hold its own..
