Take NW, flying the DC-9 is something special. And choosing NW means two more flights!

Neither, fly AA! I think they have a flight from DFW-ORD on the 777. You could try that if prices are the same.

If not, then I would pick NWA.

I would take the flights with different airliners (DC 9, A 320 instead of twice 737). It is more interesting

I would book on NW simply to enjoy their DC9s. Outside of having a classic appeal, admire the extremities NW went to in modernizing the interiors of their DC9s. The seats are new, the overheads are new and have the '717' style handrails. Their A320s have less appeal. My weekly MSP-MKE A320 run is typically full and cramped, but if it interests you, I recommend it. Plus, NW's service is fantastic.

If you really need to post this, how do you make it through the day? Oh what cab should I ride to the airport, the Crown Victoria, Lumina or Caprice.

Normally, I would pick the United flight but given their
current state of cancelling flights daily and the fact
that 57% of their flights operated on time in June, I
would hesitate and probably take Northwest Airlines.
But I'd also seriously consider AA and probably not
fly NW over AA if given the choice.

I'd also consider flying Dallas/Ft.Worth to CLE on
Continental then to Midway on CO again.

The connection at CLE will be smooth, as it is a
small hub and the flights will be on 737's all the
way most likely.

You can also fly from Love Field, via CLE, on a
Continental Expressjet from LOVE to CLE.
