The admin board of EuroAtlantic Airways (MMZ) as confirmed news that the company is negociating the purchase of Air Luxor.
After the news that EuroAtlantic will sell places on its flights to Brazil to the HiFly Holidays operator (same group than LK, the Mirpuri group), and that a special cooperation will take place in charters, the admin board has confirmed the interest in advancing, in a very short timeframe, to the aquisition of Air Luxor, subject to certain conditions being analysed.
Well, we have known LK is not in a very good financial shape, so this is good news. Maybe we'll get to see the two A330s in MMZ colours... taht would be great.
Also, as a related news, MMZ will receive shortly two B757-200s. Great to see another portuguese airline expanding.
That's interesting. Do you know where these aircrafts would come from? And what do you mean by "shortly"?
In addition to the (current) 2x B767-300ER and 2x B737-300, that would make a nice fleet (not like other boring single-model LCC, you got me ).

The aircraft are already available for ACMI and charters on their website, and they were rumored to arrive on the first week of February. We are talking about two B757-200ERs which will come from Atlas Jet in Turkey.
Their Fleet will be composed of the following:
With the possible adittion of the two A330 from LK, not a very boring fleet.
Although MMZ is not so much a LCC, but specializes in charters and ACMI leasings for other companies.
