ok , this will be by far the most challenging "guess the plane" post. This is to prove that this plane is NOT a military 707. so without further adieu:

http://homepages.go.com/~solitary_man/images/747_KC-135.jpg

This is a 747, and we need sufficient backup.

here's the article.

Well, if it's a guess as to the exact aircraft type, the wings, engines and forward fuselage indicate it's a 747-400. Airline indistinguishable.

There is nothing you can do to help and argue with these folks. SOme other guys on PPRuNe tried the same... No result.

Maybe we're being chemtrailed, and that is why we don't see it...

I've argued with these geniuses before myself. Each explanation I gave them was followed by (pause)...oh...(pause). And then with, "Yeah, but they're up to something..."
Sure.
The only shot I had no real explanation for was this one:

Any of you guys know what this is?

No offense, but is it that hard to see that this picture is FAKE???
Hell, anybody coulda made those "chemtrails" in their paint program. Heck, I got Paint Shop Pro4, and I can make the same dang think using the spraypaint option!!!
Come on guys, you're smarter than this!!
Chemtrails, what a bunch of bullsh*t!
do you HONESTLY believe that the military would spray harmful chemicals onto the taxpayer population and kill them off? God I can't even believe that I'm replying to such nonsenese, but wake up guys! Let's not brind some topic that was thought up by a scitsophranic into this forum of people who still have brains.
This kinda crap is the stuff that people will believe, and next think you know, makeshift homemade rockets will be launched from people's backyard at planes to "stop the evil". And you know what, some people are crazy enough to do this. It's stupid, and the people that started this rumor should be drug out into the street and shot in the face.
Man I'm laughing hard now, this is hillarious!!!!! How can people be soooooo stupid???!!!!!
Andyone here feel the same way I do, and think this is all a bunch of bullsh*t that needs to be stopped, NOW, before the name of aviation is drug lower?

God, hahahahahahahahahaAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

That looks like a normal contrail. Neat shot you've got there. I am pretty sure that the shot is just a normal occurance. It appears to be coming out the wheel wells. Probably some H2O that is condencing.

Wonder if they ever thought about why these "chemtrails" stay in a very tight line, shouldn't they be spreading out for the masses instead of just hanging out tightly packed at FL370?

LOL, the only chemtrails I can think of are the ones comming from their "funny" cigarettes.

You must commend the military, you know. Very ingenious of them to get the chemtrails to look exactly like normal water vapor

Anyway, the plane in the picture (the brighter inset) is clearly not a KC-135. And even if it were, so what??? The military has the right to be up there too and so far they haven't been able to show us more than a picture of a jet leaving a VAPOR trail.

I'm not gonna go register in that forum, but someone who has please give them a link to this thread

Jtb106,

The vapour on your picture is fuel. The location is where the fuel jettison pipes on a 707 are. If you look closely at the picture you can see a black rectangle just inboard of each vapour stream, this is where the jettison pipes are usually stowed. When used, the pipes are motored down from their normally horizontal position into the airsteam.

No question in my mind -- there are chemtrails, and THEY are going to get me...Just kidding! There is NO question in my mind the picture is of a 747-400. You can SEE the six-foot high winglets in the inset! I understand VC-10's point about the fuel jettison pipes, but I am afraid that that picture just looks to good to be real. Sorry, but I think that the "obvious 707 picture" is (insert drum roll here) A FAKE...ahhhh.

Thanks,
Jeb!

P.S. Sorry to burst Chemtrail's bubble, but I am pretty near to positive that because this idea (no offense to you) is so off-base, that it will never-ever-ever-ever go before Congress.

Be careful of these people, all the people from Pprune who posted on the Chemtrails site, including trying to be polite and educate, are now listed on the Chemtrail forum along with their email addresses - with the suggestion that true believers spam them or do something equally unpleasant. There's one guy on there who writes these weird posts that are in some kind of elliptical form of poetry, and in the User Info box, under Interests, he put 'Fire'. They are genuinely not well, don't mess with them, also it's a waste of time.

Speaking of scary people, you know they're talking on there about SHOOTING DOWN one of the Chemtrail planes? In other words, a Continental 737 or an American 767 full of people?

Re the topic on this thread: "Help In The "Chemtrail" Debate, Guess The Plane" - there's a debate??

fly Saha Air 707s daily from Tehran's downtown Mehrabad to Mashhad, Kish Island and Ahwaz

I hope they're fanatic enough to target a *real* KC-135, hopefully one with escorts

What amazes me most about these people is how they manage to totally ignore logic. Pulling something like this off without anyone but them noticing would be virtually impossible. Morons...

Jeb,
Having worked on 707's for many years I can assure you that it is a genuine picture of the a/c jettisonning fuel (or something) from it's jettison system.
