Going United On EWR-DEN-TUS.

Well, despite the recent attacks on United in the forum and their slight problem of cancelling some flights due to pilots refusing to fly overtime I will once again be travelling on one of the worlds finest airlines. After calling a few of the majors to see what they were charging on EWR-TUS, United got MY hard earned money. As always, United came through for me on the $$$ side. Hopefully they will continue it on the flights. Here is my itinerarey:

Aug 3, 2000 EWR-DEN-TUS

Flt 347 EWR-DEN 8:16a.m.-10:30a.m. 757-200ER
Flt 1579 DEN-TUS 12:35p.m.-1:20p.m. 727-200

Aug 7, 2000 TUS-DEN-EWR

Flt 1454 TUS-DEN 8:51a.m.-11:35a.m. 727-200
Flt 906 DEN-EWR 12:20p.m.-5:56p.m. 777-200ER

I will write a full trip report when I get back. While I am a little worried about the cancelling of flgihts, I put my faith with them. My Dad's flight on Tuesday morning was cancelled (EWR-DEN-SMF) but they rerouted him (EWR-SFO). Plus he got on his favorite (besides the 727) the 757-200ER.

Have a good trip. Despite the cancellations, United is a very good airline and
this is probably just a short-term bump. However, I really do not like United's
777's. They are cramped in the Economy section, have that awful five rows of
seats, and until recently, the entertainment systems weren't working on a lot
of aircraft.

EWR=Newark International Airport (New Jersey)
DEN=Denver International Airport (Colorado)
TUS=Tuscon International Airport (Arizona)

My Dad's flight today from DTW to ORD was cancelled and he has had to cancel his dinner plans with one of the most senior partners in my law firm. Of course they said it was a mechanical problem, but I find that highly doubtful. If I don't get hired, I'm holding UAL responsible (just joking, of course).
